Clay Pot

This delectable Southeast Asian dish is an aromatic blend of herbs and garlic served with rice, steamed vegetables, and your choice of stir-fried marinated beef, chicken, shrimp, or tofu. Its popularity is due in part to the benefits that the garlic provides. Herbalists have found that garlic aids in lowering blood pressure, detoxifying the body and enhancing one's immune system. Traditionally, the dish was baked and served in a clay pot. After one finished the meal, the clay pot was broken because clay was so abundant in Viêtnam. One will find that this tantalizing entrée is not only rich in history but in flavor as well. Try it and delight your sense of taste and smell. Enjoy!
