Ph?

In Viêtnam, herbal soup, or "Ph?," is a meal in itself. Ph? has been a staple of Viêt cooking for over a thousand years, appearing shortly after rice was first cultivated. It starts with beef stock. Beef bones simmer with ginger and onions for hours; anise, nutmeg, cinnamon, chamomile, lemongrass, and citrus are added. Rich in vitamins, these seasonings release their varied aromas. It's good for flu, fever, hangovers, weight loss, migrains, and more. From North to South Viêtnam, green herbs grow everywhere. The people fill their pot with basil leaves, mint, fresh coriander, scallions, and hot chilies or hot sauce. The steam from the bowl will carry the herbal aroma to your nostrils then your mind. Sip by sip, you will feel relaxed. It is a healthy meal for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even a snack at night.
